November 24 update: One further covid death at GWH

The latest report from NHS England has revealed that there has been one further death from covid reported at Great Western Hospital. It has been two days since the last such death was reported. According to the report the death took place on Monday, 22 November. This means the coronavirus death toll at Great Western Hospital since the start of the outbreak has risen to 383. These figures are correct up to 4pm on 23 November.

According to the data released today at 4pm, there were 106 new confirmed coronavirus cases reported in the previous 24 hours in Swindon, meaning the total rose to 31,708 confirmed cases since the start of the outbreak. In the previous seven days there were 825 new confirmed cases in Swindon. In Wiltshire there had been 406 new cases in the previous 24 hours, meaning the number of people who had tested positive in Wiltshire was 60,984. This meant that in the previous seven days there had been been 2,922 new confirmed cases in Wiltshire. 

All figures are split by local authority. Please note that new cases are the figures reported by Public Health England and do not take into account delays in the return of positive test results.
 

As of 9am on 24 November, 9,976,084 people had tested positive for coronavirus in the UK. This was a rise of 43,676 positive tests in the past 24 hours.

As of 5pm on 23 November, of those tested positive for coronavirus in the UK who died within 28 days of their test, 144,286 had died across all settings. This was an increase of 149.
