The latest report from NHS England has revealed that a death from covid has been reported at Great Western Hospital in the last 24 hours. According to the data, the death happened on 17 July. It has been 69 days since the last such death was reported. This means the coronavirus death toll at Great Western Hospital since the start of the outbreak has risen to 324. These figures are correct up to 4pm yesterday.
According to the data released at 4pm today there have been 75 new confirmed coronavirus cases reported in the last 24 hours in Swindon, meaning the total has risen to 13,937 confirmed cases since the start of the outbreak. In the last seven days there have been 989 new confirmed cases in Swindon. In Wiltshire there have been 242 new cases in the past 24 hours, meaning the number of people who have tested positive in Wiltshire is 22,296. This means that in the last seven days there have been 1,974 new confirmed cases in Wiltshire. These figures are split by local authority. Please note that these new cases are the figures reported by Public Health England and do not take into account delays in the return of positive test results.
As of 9am on 19 July, 5,473,477 people have tested positive for coronavirus in the UK. This is a rise of 39,950 positive tests in the last 24 hours.
As of 5pm on 18 July, of those tested positive for coronavirus in the UK who died within 28 days of their test, 128,727 have died across all settings. This is an increase of 19.
