The latest report from NHS England has revealed that two further deaths from covid have been reported at Great Western Hospital. According to the data, they occurred on 18 September. It has been one day since the last such deaths were reported. This means the coronavirus death toll at Great Western Hospital since the start of the outbreak has risen to 345. These figures are correct up to 4pm yesterday.
According to the data released today at 4pm, there were 157 new confirmed coronavirus cases reported in the previous 24 hours in Swindon, meaning the total rose to 21,203 confirmed cases since the start of the outbreak. In the previous seven days there were 688 new confirmed cases in Swindon. In Wiltshire there had been 261 new cases in the previous 24 hours, meaning the number of people who had tested positive in Wiltshire was 36,348. This meant that in the previous seven days there had been been 1,445 new confirmed cases in Wiltshire.
As of 9am on 21 September, 7,496,543 people had tested positive for coronavirus in the UK. This was a rise of 31,564 positive tests in the past 24 hours.
As of 5pm on 20 September, of those tested positive for coronavirus in the UK who died within 28 days of their test, 135,455 had died across all settings. This was an increase of 203.
