The latest report from NHS England has revealed that a death from covid has been reported at Great Western Hospital. According to the data, it occurred on 29 September. It has been one day since the last such death was reported. This means the coronavirus death toll at Great Western Hospital since the start of the outbreak has risen to 349. These figures are correct up to 4pm yesterday.
According to the data released today at 4.26pm, there were 194 new confirmed coronavirus cases reported in the previous 24 hours in Swindon, meaning the total rose to 22,450 confirmed cases since the start of the outbreak. In the previous seven days there were 1,145 new confirmed cases in Swindon. In Wiltshire there had been 418 new cases in the previous 24 hours, meaning the number of people who had tested positive in Wiltshire was 38,774. This meant that in the previous seven days there had been been 2,015 new confirmed cases in Wiltshire.
As of 9am on 30 September, 7,807,036 people had tested positive for coronavirus in the UK. This was a rise of 36,480 positive tests in the past 24 hours.
As of 5pm on 29 September, of those tested positive for coronavirus in the UK who died within 28 days of their test, 136,662 had died across all settings. This was an increase of 137.
