The latest report from NHS England has revealed that a death from covid has been reported at Great Western Hospital. According to the data, it happened on 8 October. It has been six days since the last such deaths were reported. This means the coronavirus death toll at Great Western Hospital since the start of the outbreak has risen to 355. These figures are correct up to 4pm yesterday.
According to the data released today at 4pm, there were 154 new confirmed coronavirus cases reported in the previous 24 hours in Swindon, meaning the total rose to 23,276 confirmed cases since the start of the outbreak. In the previous seven days there were 521 new confirmed cases in Swindon. In Wiltshire there had been 402 new cases in the previous 24 hours, meaning the number of people who had tested positive in Wiltshire was 41,726. This meant that in the previous seven days there had been been 1,927 new confirmed cases in Wiltshire.
As of 9am on 11 October, 8,193,769 people had tested positive for coronavirus in the UK. This was a rise of 40,224 positive tests in the past 24 hours.
As of 5pm on 10 October, of those tested positive for coronavirus in the UK who died within 28 days of their test, 137,763 had died across all settings. This was an increase of 28.
