The latest report from NHS England has revealed that no deaths from covid have been reported at Great Western Hospital. It has been two days since the last such deaths were reported. This means the coronavirus death toll at Great Western Hospital since the start of the outbreak remains at 409. These figures are correct up to 4pm on 12 January.
According to the data released today at 4pm, there were 444 new confirmed coronavirus cases reported in the previous 24 hours in Swindon, meaning the total rose to 46,654 confirmed cases since the start of the outbreak. In the previous seven days there were 3,126 new confirmed cases in Swindon. In Wiltshire there had been 591 new cases in the previous 24 hours, meaning the number of people who had tested positive in Wiltshire was 90,391. This meant that in the previous seven days there had been been 5,134 new confirmed cases in Wiltshire.
As of 9am on 13 January, 14,967,817 people had tested positive for coronavirus in the UK. This was a rise of 109,133 positive tests in the past 24 hours.
As of 5pm on 12 January, of those tested positive for coronavirus in the UK who died within 28 days of their test, 151,342 had died across all settings. This was an increase of 335.
