The latest report from NHS England has revealed that no further deaths from covid have been reported at Great Western Hospital. It has been one day since the last such death was reported. This means the coronavirus death toll at Great Western Hospital since the start of the outbreak remains at 357. These figures are correct up to 4pm yesterday.
According to the data released today at 4pm, there were 69 new confirmed coronavirus cases reported in the previous 24 hours in Swindon, meaning the total rose to 23,648 confirmed cases since the start of the outbreak. In the previous seven days there were 540 new confirmed cases in Swindon. In Wiltshire there had been 603 new cases in the previous 24 hours, meaning the number of people who had tested positive in Wiltshire was 43,066. This meant that in the previous seven days there had been been 2,553 new confirmed cases in Wiltshire.
As of 9am on 14 October, 8,317,439 people had tested positive for coronavirus in the UK. This was a rise of 45,066 positive tests in the past 24 hours.
As of 5pm on 13 October, of those tested positive for coronavirus in the UK who died within 28 days of their test, 138,237 had died across all settings. This was an increase of 157.
