The latest report from NHS England has revealed that no deaths from covid have been reported at Great Western Hospital in the last 24 hours. It has been one day since the last such death was reported. This means the coronavirus death toll at Great Western Hospital since the start of the outbreak remains at 389. These figures are correct up to 4pm on 6 December.
According to the data released today at 4pm, there were 123 new confirmed coronavirus cases reported in the previous 24 hours in Swindon, meaning the total rose to 33,138 confirmed cases since the start of the outbreak. In the previous seven days there were 805 new confirmed cases in Swindon. In Wiltshire there had been 383 new cases in the previous 24 hours, meaning the number of people who had tested positive in Wiltshire was 65,742. This meant that in the previous seven days there had been been 2,588 new confirmed cases in Wiltshire.
As of 9am on 7 December, 10,560,341 people had tested positive for coronavirus in the UK. This was a rise of 45,691 positive tests in the past 24 hours.
As of 5pm on 6 December, of those tested positive for coronavirus in the UK who died within 28 days of their test, 145,826 had died across all settings. This was an increase of 180.
