The latest report from NHS England has revealed that no further deaths from covid have been reported at Great Western Hospital. It has been one day since the last such death was reported. This means the coronavirus death toll at Great Western Hospital since the start of the outbreak remains at 358. These figures are correct up to 4pm yesterday.
According to the data released today at 4pm, there were 373 new confirmed coronavirus cases reported in the previous 24 hours in Swindon, meaning the total rose to 25,804 confirmed cases since the start of the outbreak. In the previous seven days there were 2,353 new confirmed cases in Swindon. In Wiltshire there had been 640 new cases in the previous 24 hours, meaning the number of people who had tested positive in Wiltshire was 46,932. This meant that in the previous seven days there had been been 4,289 new confirmed cases in Wiltshire.
As of 9am on 20 October, 8,589,737 people had tested positive for coronavirus in the UK. This was a rise of 49,139 positive tests in the past 24 hours.
As of 5pm on 19 October, of those tested positive for coronavirus in the UK who died within 28 days of their test, 139,031 had died across all settings. This was an increase of 179.
