National covid death toll rises by 27

The latest report from NHS England has revealed that there have been no further deaths reported at Great Western Hospital from coronavirus in the last 24 hours. It has been 16 days since the last death at GWH has been reported. This means the coronavirus death toll at Great Western Hospital since the outbreak began remains at 128. These figures are correct up to 4pm yesterday.

As of 3.58pm today there have been two new confirmed coronavirus cases reported in the last 24 hours in Swindon, meaning the total has risen to 1,325 confirmed cases since the start of the outbreak. In the last seven days there have been 26 new confirmed cases in Swindon. In Wiltshire there have been seven new cases in the past 24 hours, meaning the number of people who have tested positive in Wiltshire is 1,522. This means that in the last seven days there have been 59 new confirmed cases in Wiltshire. These figures are split by local authority. Please note that these new cases are the figures reported by Public Health England and do not take into account delays in the return of positive test results.

As of 9am on 14 September, 374,228 people have tested positive for coronavirus in the UK. This is a rise of 3,105 positive tests in the last 24 hours.

As of 5pm on 13 September, of those tested positive for coronavirus in the UK who died within 28 days of their test, 41,664 have died across all settings. This is an increase of 27.
