November 27 and 28 weekend update: Total of 229 new Swindon covid cases

As of 14 May, local details of covid deaths and related data are published every weekday rather than every day. The next update regarding Great Western Hospital will therefore appear later today, Monday, 29 November, and its official total remains at 385.

According to the data released on Saturday, 27 November, there were 117 new confirmed coronavirus cases reported in the previous 24 hours in Swindon, meaning the total rose to 32,059 confirmed cases since the start of the outbreak. In the previous seven days there were 781 new confirmed cases in Swindon. In Wiltshire there had been 403 new cases in the previous 24 hours, meaning the number of people who had tested positive in Wiltshire was 62,156. This meant that in the previous seven days there had been been 2,641 new confirmed cases in Wiltshire. 
 
According to the data released on Sunday, 28 November, there were 112 new confirmed coronavirus cases reported in the previous 24 hours in Swindon, meaning the total rose to 32,171 confirmed cases since the start of the outbreak. In the previous seven days there were 815 new confirmed cases in Swindon. In Wiltshire there had been 305 new cases in the previous 24 hours, meaning the number of people who had tested positive in Wiltshire was 62,461. This meant that in the previous seven days there had been been 2,589 new confirmed cases in Wiltshire. 
 
 
All figures are split by local authority. Please note that new cases are the figures reported by Public Health England and do not take into account delays in the return of positive test results.
 

As of 9am on 27 November, 10,109,264 people had tested positive for coronavirus in the UK. This was a rise of 38,393 positive tests in the past 24 hours.

As of 9am on 28 November, 10,146,915 people had tested positive for coronavirus in the UK. This was a rise of 37,681 positive tests in the past 24 hours.

As of 5pm on 26 November, of those tested positive for coronavirus in the UK who died within 28 days of their test, 144,724 had died across all settings. This was an increase of 131.

As of 5pm on 27 November, of those tested positive for coronavirus in the UK who died within 28 days of their test, 144,775 had died across all settings. This was an increase of 51.
