December 4 and 5 weekend update: Total of 164 new Swindon covid cases

As of 14 May, local details of covid deaths and related data are published every weekday rather than every day. The next update regarding Great Western Hospital will therefore appear later today, Monday, 29 November, and its official total remains at 388.

According to the data released on Saturday, 4 December, there were 99 new confirmed coronavirus cases reported in the previous 24 hours in Swindon, meaning the total rose to 32,843 confirmed cases since the start of the outbreak. In the previous seven days there were 784 new confirmed cases in Swindon. In Wiltshire there had been 372 new cases in the previous 24 hours, meaning the number of people who had tested positive in Wiltshire was 64,748. This meant that in the previous seven days there had been been 2,592 new confirmed cases in Wiltshire. 
 
According to the data released on Sunday, 5 December, there were 65 new confirmed coronavirus cases reported in the previous 24 hours in Swindon, meaning the total rose to 32,908 confirmed cases since the start of the outbreak. In the previous seven days there were 737 new confirmed cases in Swindon. In Wiltshire there had been 341 new cases in the previous 24 hours, meaning the number of people who had tested positive in Wiltshire was 65,089. This meant that in the previous seven days there had been been 2,628 new confirmed cases in Wiltshire. 
 
 
All figures are split by local authority. Please note that new cases are the figures reported by Public Health England and do not take into account delays in the return of positive test results.
 

As of 9am on 4 December, 10,421,104 people had tested positive for coronavirus in the UK. This was a rise of 42,848 positive tests in the past 24 hours.

As of 9am on 5 December, 10,464,389 people had tested positive for coronavirus in the UK. This was a rise of 43,992 positive tests in the past 24 hours.

As of 5pm on 3 December, of those tested positive for coronavirus in the UK who died within 28 days of their test, 145,551 had died across all settings. This was an increase of 127.

As of 5pm on 4 December, of those tested positive for coronavirus in the UK who died within 28 days of their test, 145,605 had died across all settings. This was an increase of 54.
