Museum & Art Swindon is getting ready to celebrate Dinosaur Week from 26 October to 2 November.

All are welcome to come and have a roar-some time and get up close and personal with creatures from the town's prehistoric past.

During the event, visitors can find out about Swindon’s Jurassic sea monsters and try the new dinosaur trail.

On Tuesday 29 October they can hold some real-life dinosaur bones and fossils from 155m years ago (10.30am to 12.15pm and 1pm to 3pm) and make their own model dinosaur to take home.

Dinosaur Week is suitable for ages four-plus, with something for everyone, including adults.

A Museum & Art Swindon spokesperson said: "Please be aware that at busy times, we may have to manage the flow of people to activities. To be sure of securing a place for the Make a Pet Dinosaur craft activity, please book a timed ticket in advance via Eventbrite

"It may also be possible to purchase a drop-in ticket on the day, but we cannot guarantee there will be places left.

"We do our best to ensure everyone feels welcome. The Museum has full disabled access and toilet. Please visit our plan your visit page for access information."

There is no public parking at the Museum. Pay and Display parking can be found at Princes Street Car Park next to the Wyvern Theatre, SN1 2SD, or Spring Gardens Multi-storey Car Park, SN1 2BF.
