Swindon man disqualified from roads after pleading guilty to drink driving

A man from Swindon pleaded guilty to drink driving offences and has been disqualified from driving for 12 months.

Martin White, 57, of Sheerwold Close, pleaded guilty to the offence at Swindon Magistrates Court on 21 June.
 
At 9.20pm on 6 May, police received a call reporting that a man had been seen drinking from a wine bottle in Greenbridge Retail Park before driving off in a Seat Leon.
 
Details of the vehicle were given to officers who attended the address of White in Stratton St Margaret where the vehicle was parked on the driveway.
 
Officers spoke with Martin White and a breath test was conducted. He was arrested on suspicion of drink driving and later charged.
 
Yesterday - 21 June - he was given a 12 month driving disqualification, a £576 fine, ordered to pay a victim services surcharge of £58 and Crown Prosecution Service Costs of £85.
