Nepali community brought food and cheer to Swindon police officers

Members of the Napalese Association of Wiltshire made sure police officers based at Swindon's Gable Cross were well fed over the festive period.

The organisation fed around 70 police officers asa token of appreciation for their contribution to the community day and night. 
The society's feeding program was sponsored by four restaurants and Pearls Funeral Services.
Diwali Restaurant arranged Chicken Tikka Masala and Pulao Rice for 20 people, the Runner Club arranged chicken curry, vegetable curry and rice for 20, Yak the Himalaya Restaurant had arranged fried Momo, chicken chilli and rice for 30 and Momo King arranged Veg Momo, Chicken Momo, Pork Momo, veg Chow Mein and chicken Chow Mein for 30. Soft drinks were also provided.
Entertainment came courtesy of a piper, and at the end the Nepali organisation was honoured with a certificate of appreciation through the MTM Award.
Chairman Gyan Prasad Gurung said the organisation had already provided food on three occasions prior to its latest effort.
