Swindon Police have launched an appeal for witnesses following a domestic assault.

The woman suffered facial injuries and needed hospital treatment. A man in his 20s has been arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning actual bodily harm and has since been released on conditional bail while further enquiries are carried out.

PC George Mason said: “We believe that shortly after the woman was assaulted, two women came to her aid from a nearby house.

"Further to this, we also believe the incident took place within earshot and view of multiple homes and members of the public could have been woken by the incident.

“If this was you, we would be keen to hear from you as part of our investigation.”
