People are invited to volunteer for the latest series of opportunities to help with a major community nature project.
Swindon Forest Meadows is a partnership between the Wiltshire Wildlife Trust (WWT) and the Swindon Borough Council to help restore and preserve natural habitats.
At various sites throughout the Borough, including the five WWT nature reserves within int boundaries, the project is seeking volunteers to help with its important work.
Imminent opportunities include:
- Working on the Lagoons at Shaw Forest Park - Thursday 22 August from 10am to 3pm
- Tidying paths, vegetable surveys and general maintenance at St Julian’s - Friday 23 August from 10am to 2pm

Wiltshire Wildlife Trust has organised for local entomologist Marc Taylor to lead a fascinating journey into the world of flying insects at a workshop in Swindon (SN4) at 11am on Saturday, 7 September.
Marc is passionate about sharing his knowledge and making field identification accessible to everyone regardless of experience. People are invited to email the team at [email protected] to find out more and book a place.
