Swindon's Great Western Hospital recommends the new NHS Winter Children and Young Person's Clinic phone number as the first point of action for acute illness.

Swindon's new children’s and young people clinic aims to help 2-17 years old who are unwell or who are suffering from acute illness.

The child/young person or their family members can call 01793 709505 to speak to a GP or an Advanced Clinical Practitioner for a quick assessment over the phone.

A spokesperson for GWH said: "Using this service may save you a trip to hospital and where needed, you will be invited in for a face-to-face appointment at the clinic based in Taw Hill Medical Centre, SN25 1UH."

This service at Taw Hill is open from Monday – Friday, 8am to 4pm.
