The Great Western Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, has warned that their already busy services will be impacted by strike action this weekend.

The services will be disrupted due to industrial action by junior doctor members of the British Medical Association between the hours of 7am on Saturday 24 February and 23.59pm on Wednesday 28 February.

The strike is expected to have a significant impact on the care that the hospital provides and will occur at a time when the service is already very busy.

Members of the public are requested to use local health services wisely, although the urgent and emergency care services will remain open. They should use NHS 111 online in the first instance if unsure what to do.

Some planned appointments will be cancelled as a result of the action, and some on the day cancellations may be necessary. Anyone affected will be contacted directly and should continue to attend the hospital if they do not hear from them.
