Swindon Hindu Temple in Theatre Square will this evening hold a prayer service for those who perished in yesterday's air disaster in India.
The aircraft crashed into a residential area shortly after taking off from the city of Ahmedabad en route for the UK.
This evening's service at Swindon Hindu Temple will begin at 7pm and is scheduled to last for 30 minutes.
A Temple spokesperson said: "Swindon Hindu Temple community offers heartfelt condolences and gathers in solemn remembrance of so many precious lives lost in the devastating accident of the Air India flight AI-171 from Ahmedabad to London.
"We are deeply saddened by this tragic loss and extend our sympathies to the grieving families and friends. Our thoughts and prayers are with all those affected during this incredibly difficult time.
"May God give Sadgati to the departed souls and may their loved ones find strength and solace to cope with this immense grief. We also offer our thoughtful tributes and deep appreciation to everyone involved in providing emergency response, rescue and relief in such difficult circumstances.
