A Wiltshire Police staff member has celebrated a highly successful day at the Police Sport UK (PSUK) Southern Championships Blue Lights Horse Show.
Financial Investigator Hollie Clark took home multiple titles while proudly representing the Force.
Hollie travelled to Chard in Somerset to compete at the annual event alongside colleague Jasmine Swatton-Andrews.
However, significant traffic delays caused by a diversion on the M5 meant Jasmine was unable to reach the venue in time for her classes and was forced to return home.
Despite the challenging start to the day, Hollie and her horse, Figgy, delivered an outstanding performance in the show jumping arena.
Competing after a six-week break due to poor weather, ground conditions and a busy schedule balancing work and family life, Hollie achieved the following results:
- 1st place - 90cm
- 2nd place - 1m
- 1st place - 1.10m
- PSUK Show Jumping Champion
- Overall Show Champion
Hollie also joined competitors from Devon & Cornwall Police and the Royal Navy to form a mixed services team, which went on to win the Team Show Jumping competition.
Hollie said: "The day certainly had its challenges before we even arrived, but once we got there, Figgy was fantastic. I hadn't competed for more than six weeks, so I was delighted with how he performed.
"To come away with the Show Jumping Champion and Overall Show Champion titles was a brilliant achievement, and it was great to be part of a winning mixed services team too."
During the event, Hollie displayed a Thin Blue Line flag as a mark of respect and solidarity with the wider policing family, remembering PC Andrew Harper and acknowledging recent events affecting officers across the country.
Hollie's success, the force says, highlights the dedication and commitment of Wiltshire Police officers and staff outside of their day-to-day roles, while showcasing the opportunities provided through Police Sport UK competitions.
The force has congratulated Hollie on a fantastic achievement and for representing Wiltshire Police with such distinction.
