South Swindon Parish Council has announced a grant to one of Swindon's oldest and most beloved good causes.

The £2,000 it has awarded to Thamesdown Hydrotherapy Pool will be used to help meet the cost of new solar panels on the roof of their facility.
The pool helps people of all ages with a variety of conditions, and the therapies it offers are tailored to relieve pain, assist with rehabilitation and provide various other benefits.
A parish council spokesperson said: "Thamesdown Hydrotherapy Pool has provided a critical service for Swindon residents since 1979, offering help with pain relief, rehabilitation and a source of enjoyment for many.
"The new solar panels will go a long way to help offset rising energy costs and provide a more sustainable future for the pool."
