Dealers and auctioneers on alert after Wiltshire raid

Wiltshire Police are urging antiques dealers and auctioneers to look out for statues stolen from Ilford Manor.

Officers are also appealing for help from the public.
Several statues were taken from the historic site neat Bradford-on-Avon at some time overnight between Thursday and Friday June 19 and 20.
The items stolen include:
- She-Wolf with Romulus and Remus, including the bronze base
- A pair of symmetrical fawns, copies of the Villa Dei Papyri fawns
- A bust of Antinous
Enquiries into the incident are ongoing, and a police spokesperson said in a message to the public: "If you witnessed any suspicious activity in the area between 10.45pm on Thursday evening and 8am on Friday morning, or if you have any information on the whereabouts of the items, please contact us.
"We would also urge any antique dealers or auction houses to look out for the items.
