Wiltshire Police's ICT team has received international recognition for its pioneering use of artificial intelligence and robotic automation, winning a prestigious award at the SS&C Blue Prism Customer Excellence Awards in New York.
The team was named winner of the Rising Star category, a distinction that highlights emerging leaders in intelligent automation. The awards, judged by a panel of industry experts including analysts, consultants, and journalists, celebrate forward-thinking organisations harnessing AI to drive innovation and efficiency.
Chief of Corporate Services, John Derryman, praised the team’s efforts. He said: "This well-deserved award reflects the transformative work carried out by the team in this area. By embracing developments in automation, our Robotics Team has been able to free up time for colleagues to focus on supporting front-line policing.

In its commendation, the judging panel noted Wiltshire Police’s significant accomplishments, stating:
“Wiltshire Police is setting a national benchmark for intelligent automation. With 23 processes planned by 2025, they’ve scaled at record pace, achieving full ROI (Return on Investment) in just six months.
