A housing association with properties in and around Swindon invited online sensation Jackie Weaver to talk to its youth panel.
Mrs Weaver, Chief Officer with Cheshire Association of Local Councils, shot to fame earlier this year when footage of a parish council meeting she chaired went viral.
She was unfazed by rudeness from some of the participants, including one man who told her she had no authority and another who screamed at her to read standing orders.
"You have no authority here, Jackie Weaver!" briefly became a national catchphrase.
Mrs Weaver was invited to talk to the Sovereign Housing Association Youth Panel, and discussed with them the importance of local councils and of young people getting involved.
She said before her appearance: "It’s great to have the opportunity to discuss the importance of local democracy and how it helps influence local government with young people such as Sovereign’s Youth Panel.”
