The Games are designed to encourage everyone from beginners to seasoned athletes to embrace physical activity in a fun, welcoming and inclusive environment.
Participants enter at their own level and take part in a series of enjoyable challenges aimed at building confidence and community.
Organisers have praised the council leader for his support, which they say helps to promote not just the events but fitness in general.
A spokesperson said: "The Longevity Games is proud to announce that Jim Robbins, Leader of Swindon Borough Council, has officially entered the upcoming event taking place on Saturday 18 May at the Swindon Athletics Track.
"True to his word and consistent to his support of the initiative, Jim's decision to step up and participate personally marks a powerful moment of leadership in action.
"As the Games continue to inspire residents of all ages and abilities to become more active, stronger and fitter, Jim Robbins is showing the community exactly what it means to lead by example.
"This isn't about watching from the sidelines. It's about being in it together. And Jim's commitment sends a clear message: If we want a healthier, more active Swindon, it starts with all of us - especially those in leadership.
"He's not just a supporter from the sidelines - he's stepping into the arena, living the values The Longevity Games stands for."
Cllr Robbins said: “I’m looking forward to participating in the Longevity Games and hopefully, if someone like me who clearly isn’t the fittest in the world, can get involved it will demonstrate to anyone that they can have a go.
"Anything we can do to take some action to improve our health and fitness has got to be a good thing!”
With entries closing on Saturday 4 May, organisers are encouraging the public to follow Cllr Robbins' lead and take that all-important first step toward their own journey.
