In January community group Keep Swindon Tidy set itself the goal of trying to clear 200,000 bags of litter from Swindon's streets.
It says it is making great strides towards that goal but more volunteers are needed.
A spokesperson said "With more and more residents of our town committed to a cleaner and greener Swindon, we want as many people pulling together as possible to help keep Swindon’s streets clear of litter.
"We see the issue of littering being everybody’s responsibility to address, not just the borough council and the various parish councils, but all of us working in partnership as a litter picking collective to reduce the amount of litter on our streets, and create a safer and greener environment for everybody to enjoy."
Since embarking on this campaign, Keep Swindon Tidy has seen an 854 percent increase in engagement on its Facebook page, with many more people posting about how many bags they are picking, more people viewing posts and reels and more people joining the group.
Crucially, Keep Swindon Tidy has seen a 108.22 percent increase in litter picked compared to last year.
The spokesperson said: "We are delighted with the efforts of all our incredible volunteers, from those who join our regular picks, to those that do solo picks in their local areas and notify us of their efforts afterwards on the Facebook page.
"Thank you to each and every one of you - we are so grateful for all that you do, and please keep up your amazing work.
"This said, we have a long way to go to reach our ambitious goal, and still need as many volunteers and supporters as possible to reach our target."

The spokesperson said: "If you are a parish councillor, let us know how many bags are being picked within your parish by your volunteers and operatives, so we can add your contributions to our tally.
"If you notice an area within your local community that could benefit from a community litter pick, get in touch by visiting https://www.facebook.com/KeepSwindonTidy/ and we will aim to support you by arranging a group pick with our volunteers.
"Be a litter legend and support us in making Swindon a cleaner, greener, and safer town for everyone!"
