A Swindon man has been jailed for a number of offences including possession of a firearm, possession of criminal property of £9,000 cash and affray.

These items were seized from Livingstone’s home address on the 23 June 2021, during a police investigation into Connor and his cousin Billy Livingstone for taking a car, driving it dangerously and threatening members of the public.

Appearing before Swindon Crown Court yesterday - 3 March - Connor Livingstone, 25, of Cromer Court, Swindon, was sentenced to five years and four months in custody.

The court heard that Connor and his cousin Billy were arrested in the Merlin Pub in Swindon on 23 June 2021 having earlier been seen earlier that day driving dangerously along Oxford Road, in Swindon and failing to stop.

Detective Inspector Angela Shipp of the Serious and Organised Crime Unit said: “The possession of a firearm, whether a converted replica or otherwise, is an extremely serious offence.

“Individuals such as Connor Livingstone who think that they can acquire such weapons need to understand that the consequences and sentences passed down by the courts reflect just how serious this is.

“Wiltshire police will find these weapons, destroy them and ensure that those who possess them are brought to justice and put in prison. I would urge anyone who is considering buying a firearm for either criminal use or to intimidate others to consider this sentence imposed by the court and understand that the police will work tirelessly to get weapons like this out of our communities.

“Connor and Billy Livingstone are two individuals who cause some of the most harm in our communities, which is evident from their actions on the 23rd June 2021, and their sentences of 5 years and 4 months for Connor and 3 years and 9 months for Billy reflect this.

“The local community should not have to tolerate their despicable behaviour and I am grateful to both the investigation team, the members of the public who were victims and witnesses in this case and in bringing them to justice.”
