Man fined and given points on licence for driving without care at illegal Swindon car meet

A man from Highworth has been sentenced after being found guilty of driving without due care and attention during an illegal car meet in Swindon.

Zackeriah Gordon, 23, of Shrivenham Road, Highworth has been sentenced after being found guilty of driving without due care and attention during an illegal car meet in Swindon.
 
Gordon was seen to be doing ‘donuts’ in his car in a carpark beside Bramble Road on 29 May 2022 in the presence of numerous pedestrians.
 
He was given seven points on his driving licence and fined £660.
 
He was also ordered to pay £110 court costs and a £66 victim surcharge.
 
Wiltshire Police says it continues to proactively respond to illegal car meets, and will not hesitate to prosecute those involved in associated antisocial behaviour or dangerous driving.
 
A spokesperson from the force said: "Please report any such illegal activity to us by calling 101. In an emergency always call 999."
