Wiltshire Police are appealing for witnesses following a stabbing in the Manchester Road area of Swindon just before 6pm yesterday (22/12).
A man in his 30s was taken to hospital with a wound to his abdomen not thought to be life changing or life threatening.
DS Matt Gamble said: “This was a serious incident in a busy area of Swindon. A cordon was put up sealing off part on Manchester Road while we carried out investigations. This has now been lifted.
“We would like to thank staff in a local take away premises and an ex-soldier who helped the victim.
“It has been reported that the suspect was wearing a balaclava.
