Officers investigating the death of a man found seriously injured in Swindon's Manchester Road have arrested a 31-year-old man on suspicion of murder.
He is currently in police custody, and detectives continue to appeal for information in relation to the incident, after being called to the scene shortly after 5am yesterday - 2 July.
A cordon is currently in place to allow forensic investigations to take place at the scene where the man, thought to be in his 20s, was found.
Attempts are ongoing to locate his next of kin.
Detective Chief Inspector Phil Walker, who is leading the investigation, has appealed for members of the public to help by sharing any information, dash cam or CCTV footage which may assist this investigation.
Investigating officers would also like to speak to a member of the public who initially alerted nearby officers but did not leave his details.
Responding to community concerns, DCI Walker stressed that there was no information to suggest any link to a recent counter-terrorism arrest at the address.
People can contact the police on 101, quoting log 47 of 2 July, and leave information anonymously by calling Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
In an emergency, people should always call 999.
