A man has been charged with various offences following an incident in Malmesbury on Saturday 2 August.
Thomas Lawton, 49, of High Street, Malmesbury, has been charged with sexual assault, common assault, attempted robbery, two counts of threatening a person with an offensive weapon in a public place and two counts of criminal damage to property valued under £5,000..
He was remanded in custody and due before Salisbury magistrates this morning - 5 August.
A police spokesperson said: "We would like to thank the public for their support while this investigation was carried out."
