The Nepalese Association of Wiltshire has announced a Nepali Cultural Open Day.

It will be held on Saturday 31 August from noon to 6pm at the GWR Park off Faringdon Road, SN1 5DJ.

Visitors can look forward to attractions including multi-cultural displays, Nepali cultural performances, tourism stalls, costume displays and Nepali food stalls.

There will be children's rides, a fair and a variety of business stalls.

The association was established in 2006 in Swindon with the aim of uniting the Nepalese community in and around the town, strengthening community spirit and building a strong, cohesive and integrated community.

NAW says it is recognised by the Swindon Borough Council as the only organisation in Swindon that convenes all Nepalese people in Swindon, and embraces all regardless of their caste, race, religion or other protected characteristics.
