Wiltshire Police closed the A346 between Ogbourne St Andrew and Chiseldon following an accident earlier today - 12 March.
An update issued by the police early this afternoon said: "A road closure is currently in place following a collision in Ogbourne St Andrew.
"We were called to the scene following a report of a two vehicle collision which occurred shortly before 10.50am.
"Whilst the incident is dealt with, we have closed the A346 between Ogbourne St Andrew and Chiseldon."
Motorists were being urged to avoid the area and seek an alternate route.
The police issued no further information about the collision.
