Motorcyclist suffers potentially life-changing injuries

Swindon Police are appealing for witnesses following a serious collision between a motorcycle and a car on Okus Road.

It happened yesterday afternoon - 10 June - and at about 3.35pm officers received a report of a collision between a KTM 125 and a Nissan Qashqai at the junction with Curie Avenue.

A force spokesperson said: "The rider of the motorcycle, a 19-year-old man, was taken to hospital with potentially life-changing injuries. The driver of the car, a woman in her 40s, was uninjured."

The road was closed for a time to allow inquiries to be made.

Witnesses to the collision or anyone who may have dash cam is asked to contact the Serious Collision Investigation Team on 01225 694597, quoting log number 185 for 10 June.
