Swindon Borough Council is inviting people to join the thousands who already have an online council tax account.
A spokesperson said: "It allows you to view your account details at any time, including any payments made, set up or amend Direct Debits, ask for an e-bill rather than a printed copy and update your contact details.
"Printed copies of Council Tax bills are being delivered over the next few weeks. We’ve produced supporting information guidance to help explain the different components of your bill.
"With precepts added from the Wiltshire Police and Crime Commissioner, Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Authority and the parish council where you live, the average 2024/25 total Council Tax bill for a band D property in Swindon is £2,198.04.
"Primarily, due to the increasing demand for adult and children’s social care, Council Tax has increased by 4.99 per cent in 2024/25, which includes a two per cent increase for adult social care."
