Swindon Borough Council is once again alerting people to scam texts requesting payment of parking charges.
Scammers pretend to be council officials and ask for payment.
A council spokesperson said: "We've received reports of text messages claiming to be from the council, asking residents to pay a Penalty Charge Notice (PCN).
"Please be aware that Swindon Borough Council does not send text messages requesting payment for PCNs."
The council says anybody receiving such a message should not respond or offer any personal information.
The spokesperson added: "For any questions or to verify your PCN, please contact us directly by calling 01793 445500."
