Police search for man after unprovoked attack on woman in Penhill

Wiltshire Police are investigating an assault which occurred in Penhill last month and would like to speak to anyone who may be able to help.

Shortly after 4pm on January 18, a woman in her 40s was assaulted in an unprovoked attack outside of the Premier Store in Hannington Close.

The woman fell to the floor during the assault which caused a laceration to her head and a broken ankle which required hospital treatment. 

The suspect was riding a red moped and was wearing a black helmet. Following the incident, he left the scene in the direction of Chippenham Walk. 

As part of enquiries officers have obtained CCTV images of a man they would like to speak to in connection with the incident.
