A Swindon Borough Council video explaining the Swindon Plan can be seen on YouTube.
The Swindon Plan sets out three long-term missions to build a fairer, better and greener Swindon.
A council spokesperson said: "Earlier this year we ran a borough-wide engagement exercise to get your ideas and feedback that informed the final plan. Thank you to everyone who got involved."
An accompanying performance framework sets out the council’s actions over the next three years to progress each mission, working with partners from across the private, public and voluntary sectors.
Examples include:
Building a fairer Swindon:
- Building a new, inclusive youth centre in Park North supporting more than a hundred children a week
- Working to improve the oral health of Swindon’s children and help under-fives achieve a healthy weight
- Creating new primary school places for children with special educational needs and disabilities
Building a better Swindon:
- Supporting a developer-led scheme to refurbish and re-open the Oasis Leisure Centre
- Bringing forward plans for a new town centre entertainment venue
- Working with town centre landowners, developers and other stakeholders to produce a plan to enhance the town centre
Building a greener Swindon:
- Installing new on-street electric vehicle charging points
- Planting thousands of new trees across the Borough
- Further actions to increase household recycling
