Great Western Hospital is looking for people who have recovered from confirmed coronavirus of if you have had symptoms to come forward to help them with a study that could save lives.

As part of the national research effort against coronavirus, GWH is supporting a programme to collect convalescent blood plasma from people who have recovered from COVID-19.
There is some evidence globally that COVID-19 patients may benefit from being given convalescent plasma. However, the safety and effectiveness of convalescent plasma transfusions needs to be confirmed by robust clinical trials.
This plasma is planned for use in a number of national COVID-19 clinical trials, and if successful, it will be used across all hospitals as a treatment.
If you have recovered from confirmed COVID-19, or have had symptoms, and would like to donate plasma, please visit for https://www.nhsbt.nhs.uk/covid-19-research/plasma-programme/ for more information.
