Work to refurbish the Buckhurst Play Area will begin on Monday 29 April.
South Swindon Parish Council says the play area is currently closed while its play maintenance team removes some of the existing equipment.
A parish council spokesperson said: "The play area will be refurbished with new inclusive equipment to enable use by children of a range of abilities and ages.
There will be new swings, a sensory play board, a zipline, hurricane swing and more. The pathways around the play area will also be widened and improved."
The work will take roughly between three and four weeks, depending on weather conditions, and the parish council has issued a reminder that while the site is closed, the next nearest play area is the Oakfield play area on the other side of Marlowe Avenue to Buckhurst Field.
