Swindon & Wiltshire Pride gear up for landmark free event

This years free-to-attend flagship event is on Saturday 15 August and features Girls Aloud star Nadine Coyle.
Nadine will be singing a collection of Girls Aloud favourites along with some of her own original material.
The event will bring thousands of people together for a vibrant celebration of diversity, inclusion, and community in the heart of Swindon.

The day begins with the Pride March, with participants asked to arrive from 11am in the public space outside Nationwide at 47 Regent Street in the town centre. 
The march will set off promptly at 11:30, making its way through the town centre and onwards to GWR Park, where the main Pride celebrations will begin.
The march route is step-free, although some sections may include uneven ground. As the march can be loud, it is recommended that anyone sensitive to noise brings ear defenders or other suitable hearing protection.
For those who do not wish to take part in the march, GWR Park will open from 11am. Between then and noon, visitors can enjoy a quieter hour with reduced noise levels, providing a more relaxed environment for those who prefer to explore the event with fewer distractions.
At noon the Pride March will arrive at GWR Park, and the event's entertainment programme will officially begin.
Visitors can look forward to a packed schedule of performances across both the Main Stage and Community Stage, featuring a diverse mix of dancers, singers and tribute performers throughout the day.
Main stage highlights include The Spotlight Choir, The Harry Styles Show, Donna Marie as Lady Gaga, and Ru Paul’s Drag Race star Baga Chipz.
Community stage highlights include North Star New Wave Sound Collective and Swindon’s own Chocolate Theatre.
For Great British Bake Off Fans there will be a special appearance from fan favourite, Janusz Domagala, who features on a new single by the event's co-host, Latina Ballroom, and they will be performing it on the day.
Beyond the stages, revellers will find plenty to explore, with multiple stall zones featuring food and drink vendors, shopping opportunities, community organisations, and dedicated youth spaces. 
Families can also enjoy a circus experience and a selection of funfair rides, helping to make Pride a welcoming day out for all ages.
The celebrations will continue into the evening with the official Pride Afterparty at The Steam Railway pub in Old Town. 
Hosted by Pride favourites Adam All and Apple Derrières and featuring Kylie on Show, the afterparty promises to be the perfect way to round off a memorable day of festivities.
