This month, Purton Village Hall has seen the installation of free Wi-Fi for its users.
This new additional feature will enable visitors to go online, and use the hall for all their family, community, and business needs requiring the internet.
The move to install Wi-Fi at Purton Village Hall, is the second in a series of improvements including interior and exterior renovation to the hall’s windows, proposed interior decoration, and heating improvements.
The Purton Parish Council say this much needed investment reflects the age of Purton Village Hall, which was originally constructed over 50 years ago, in 1969, when it was celebrated with a week of events including an opening ceremony, children’s film show, and a grand opening dance and buffett.
The new free Wi-Fi took just one working day to install, after cable was channelled across the road, car park and into the building. Works were completed by Gigaclear.
Purton Village Hall users will now be able to access the internet by using the password and details displayed on new signs within the hall.

Parish Clerk, Deborah Lawrence said: “We know from our community surveys that the Purton Village Hall and its history have always been greatly valued by our residents. We now want to make sure that Purton Village Hall continues to meet all the needs of all who use it in the future.”
