Work to improve the deteriorating road surface along Queens Drive and Drakes Way has been completed.
This resurfacing work was part of Swindon Borough Council’s larger 2024/25 annual road maintenance programme, which also saw Great Western Way, Thamesdown Drive and the Great Western Hospital access road, among others, improved.
Last month, a new Local Transport Plan was agreed which will see £1.5m spent on resurfacing several major roads, including Manchester Road between Corporation Street to Milford Street, and £1.2m on maintaining a number of minor roads.
A council spokesperson said: "Maintenance plans have been prioritised using an evidence-led approach, and will continue to be supported by necessary reactive repairs and road patching.
"We’d like to thank residents, motorists and businesses for their patience while the work took place."
