Child left bloodied by racist attacker in Swindon park

Swindon Police are appealing for information following a reported physical assault on a nine-year-old in a Swindon park yesterday - 12 June.

At about 8pm the boy, who was riding a bicycle in a park in Eastern Avenue, Walcot, was approached by a teenager who racially abused him before punching him to the face and kicking him when he was on the ground.

The child was left with reddening to the ribs and a bleeding lip.

The suspect is described as a chubby white male, about 15-years-old, who spoke with an Irish accent.

He had dark brown hair and brown eyes, was about 5ft2ins tall and was wearing an orange t-shirt and black tracksuit bottoms.
