Swindon’s Bus Company is unveiling a special ‘rainbow’ bus back - in tribute to the area’s key workers.
The operator provides bus services for essential travel in-and-around Swindon, and is keen to show its appreciation to those carrying out vital roles in region.
“Our drivers, who are also key workers, are proud to be helping local heroes travel to Great Western Hospital and other locations here,” said Nikki Honer, Swindon’s Bus Company’s head of communications.
“With this in mind, we wanted to show our appreciation for everything key workers are doing for those living within our community.
“So many of us owe them a debt of gratitude, not only during these troubling times, but always. Our ‘rainbow’ bus will be used on one of our busiest routes - the 1A.
“We hope it reflects our huge respect and the pride we have in transporting key worker heroes - from teachers, nurses and retail staff to doctors, carers, refuse collectors and of course bus drivers - across the region.”
