Officers investigating a robbery in Swindon in which a woman had her wedding ring stolen are appealing for witnesses.
At approximately 12.15pm on May 12, a 70-year-old woman was in Sampson Park, Toothill, when a man threatened her and stole her handbag and rings from her finger, including her wedding ring.
The man was wearing a black balaclava and gloves and ran off in the direction of Freshbrook Way.
A police spokesperson said: "The incident has left the victim feeling understandably extremely distressed.
"Our enquiries in relation to the incident are ongoing and we would be keen to speak to anyone who was in the park at the time of the incident, and anyone who may have further information which could assist our enquiries.
"Anyone with information should call 101 and quote crime reference number 54230049794.
"Alternatively, call CrimeStoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
