The road repair schedule for the coming weeks has been announced by Swindon Borough Council.

Its highways team will be working at locations which will require a variety of day and overnight closures.
These roads include:
- B4019 Highworth Road (Blunsdon to Highworth) - 6 to 10 January
- Grove Hill, Highworth – 5 and 6 February
- Durnham Street (between Victoria Road and Queens Park) – 7 February
- Cricklade Road (between Kembrey Street and Menham Close) – 10 February
- St Philips Road (between Beechcroft Road and Farrfield) – 11 February
- The Street, Castle Eaton Bridge – 13 February
- A420 at Acorn Bridge – overnight closure on the 13 to 14 February
- Blagrove Roundabout – overnight closures from 14 to 18 February
- Great Western Way (between Meads and Mannington roundabout) – overnight closure from 19 to 21 February

Cllr Chris Watts, Swindon Borough Council’s Cabinet Member for the Environment and Transport, said: “In order to build a better Swindon and help keep drivers moving, we need to make sure that our roads are in the best condition they can be with our limited resources.

“We’ll be undertaking more work to improve road surfaces throughout the year, but I’m glad we can get out of the blocks quickly in 2025 and start doing this important maintenance.”

The work is part of a programme that aims to fix deteriorating road surfaces across the borough. It is due to be completed within the set times but is subject to weather and unforeseen circumstances.

Access will be maintained for local businesses and residents and diversions will be in place for other motorists where necessary.

People can keep up to date with the latest roadworks and diversions by searching ‘roadworks’ on the council's website.
