Figures for first choice secondary school offers have been released by Swindon Borough Council.

They reveal that 91% of pupils in Swindon have been offered a place at their first choice for this September.

The council's School Admissions team received 2,936 on-time applications this year, with 98 per cent of pupils offered one of their top three preferences.

A spokesperson said that if a child was due to start secondary school in September and parents submitted their application on time, they should have received an offer email on 1 March, and said people should check their junk folders in case it had inadvertently ended up there.

Parents can also log into the parent portal to find the latest information. If they have any queries regarding secondary school places for this September, they should email [email protected] or contact the school directly.
