A Salisbury man is today due to appear at Swindon Magistrates Court charged with what the police describe as a non-recent serious sexual assault.
Kenny Wells, 62, of Verona Road, Salisbury, has been charged with rape, burglary and false imprisonment.
The charges relate to an incident in Collingbourne Ducis in November of 1980.
Wells was arrested in Salisbury yesterday - 29 June - and is currently in police custody.
